Playing the perfect host, the younger Pathan invited the Indian team, including Sachin Tendulkar for dinner at his residence. Though Tendulkar couldn't make it, the rest had a gala time sitting in the hall and talking about their good and bad times together. They spent more than one-and-a-half hours talking and pulling each other's leg. The Pathans treated them with mutton biryani and other delicacies. The players had special paan too. Talking to TOI after the dinner, Kohli said: "I have had mutton biryani at many places, but nothing can beat the one I ad here."
Kohli also said that he has been to Vadodara many times before but never got the opportunity to move around the city.
"Even this time, I never thought that we will be able to make it. It has been a welcome break for all of us. We had a really good time," said Kohli.
Later, Irfan said: "Since the team was here, I decided to invite all for dinner as I am the local boy. Though all couldn't make it, I am happy that the others found some time to spare. We all had a really good time."
With Dhoni & Co around can the crowd be far behind? But There were enough securitymen to keep things under control. And by the way, the security personnels too had their share of mutton biryani even as the players laughed and joked around inside the bunglow.
