IPL-3 is proving to be the one of the underdogs. The bottom side Kolkata Knight Riders beat the holders Deccan Chargers by 11 runs on day one. On day two the hapless Mumbai Indians beat Rajasthan Royals - the inaugural year winners - by four runs at a Brabourne Stadium on Saturday night.

Deodhar Trophy title - North overcome Yusuf heroics

Yusuf Pathan attempted an encore of his Duleep Trophy heroics, but winning a match that was a lost cause proved to be beyond the home cricketer on the day. North Zone, despite not putting in one of their better performances, walked away with the Deodhar Trophy title, the 11th time they have done so in the tournament's history.

Injured Irfan Pathan is ignored again for T20 prabables

All-rounder Irfan Pathan, who won the Man-of-the-Match award in the final of the inaugural World Twenty20 Championship against Pakistan in South Africa, finds no place in the list of 30 probables for the third edition of the tournament to be played in West Indies in April-May this year.
